This was inspired from Monty Don on Gardeners world. A small, heavy fruiting patio Raspberry. Perfect for our little garden. Found online at J Parkers and a good plant was delivered. Bought a new pot from the Powderham Garden Centre for it to live in.
A very large and vigorous raspberry type bush. It seems to try and go everywhere, and splits off readily. It’s not a true raspberry. It’s a member of a completely different family of Rubus. I was looking forward to growing this raspberry as it has done well with me in the past. It died for no apparent reason within weeks without doing much. Plants Galore strikes again. RIP: 2020-06. I got a new one in March 2021.
Blackberry Thornfree. I planned to have a blackberry grown up and around the fence behind my border. Given enough time and a bit of training this might work … We’ll see. This bush did take quite some time to get away, but now (August 2020) has a couple of good canes running up the fence.
