Veronica spicata ‘Chista’
I bought this on impulse as I had a really nice Veronica at my Manchester Allotment and this one fitted my colour scheme. It got powdery mildew really badly straight away, but I increased watering and it seems to have recovered well. It’s even putting out some late flower spikes.

Helenium autumnale
I bought this to replace my Helenium ‘Betty’ which never came up. It was an impulse purchase and it doesn’t really fit. Too many yellows. It has done well and it is a nice plant though, just maybe needs shifting a little bit. Lifted in November 2020 and temporarily planted in a pot.
