This interesting little plant was bought on the spur of the moment from the lovely garden centre down in Bishopsteignton. We planted it in the woodland bed where it should hopefully do well.

A wonderful tall Bergamot. Bright red flowers on single stalks. Mine was struck down with terrible Downy Mildew in it’s first growing season. It is now recovered with a lot of watering and looks to be a lot better now. Fingers crossed it will survive the winter as it is a lovely plant.
A profusely flowering French Lavender. It doesn’t really fit in the grand scheme of my top bed, but the bees love it, so it’s staying for now … Should cut it back after flowering. Dead heading should help it to continue flowering. I forget to do that though. It was dug up and moved in […]
